Out in our local small world... we continue to have a ridulously snowy and cold month with no sign of spring in sight! Aaaahhh!
Inside my cozy world... I have proudly completed my debut manuscript, a modern mythic fantasy novel set here in Alaska! Currently, my task is polishing my query and synopsis and bravely getting it out to select agents! Whoo!

D.S. Gwen is a life-long Alaskan. She grew up on Kodiak Island in the winters, and in Cordova, Alaska in the summers where she was raised as a commercial fisherwoman on the beautiful waters of Prince William Sound.
She is the proud mother of two amazing sons, both of whom are autistic adults who live independently with aspiring careers. ​
In addition to being an enthusiastic author, D. is a middle school special education teacher for students on the autism spectrum.
D. is an ardent fan of books and movies on fantasy, magic, romance, and the transformative power of love. She is forever inspired and moved by incredible stories-- whether true or fiction-- about tenacious humans defying imagination, and of audacious women with moxie. ​
She lives in Anchorage, Alaska with her beloved husband, a jungle of indoor plants, an honorary Jedi badge, a shelf full of Norse Mythology books, and the burning desire of one big remaining dream.
